Well, if it isn’t the very last day of the month ….
[note: yeah … I do realize that it’s actually the first day of the month currently. Basically what happened (and partially why I didn’t post last week …) is that we ripped out all the carpeting in my bedroom and everything is in boxes and a mess and I couldn’t find my laptop charger ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Which … was a serious problem. BUT I FOUND IT SO NOW I’M BACK AND GOOD TO GO HOPEFULLY]
This may come as a shock to some but Camp NaNo (and July) is officially over tomorrow. What does this mean? Many are frantically writing their hearts out to get the last 500, 1k, 2k, however many words down in their story to reach their goal for the month. Many are eating celebratory cake. So which one are you? And which one am I?
Being a person comes with its own set of problems. Like, people expect us to socialize?? Apparently we have to sleep sometimes? Why can’t we just read and watch Netflix all day? What is life?
But being a blogger, especially a book blogger, comes with an even bigger set of problems. I mean, how do people do this? There’s just so many problems? Honestly I’m just so proud and slightly amazed at all of you book bloggers. Like what is this.
witchcraft? In my own failure of an adventure in blogging and sort of book blogging, I’ve compiled a giant list of some of these problems.
Hello, lovelies! I can’t believe it’s already the second week in July. Now that I’ve finally gotten through all the blog tours and such,* Penumbra can finally just chill a bit, so I’m going to update you on my boring life! *streamers explode* *people cheer*
Anyway, June was a pretty packed month and July promises to be another one so … I did loads of stuff. Which I can now ramble to y’all about if you’re so kind as to listen.** *runs away laughing evilly*
*Which I have to admit were fun, if a bit stressful. Hopefully I still have some hair after tearing it out and rushing to read books and write posts after vacation for a while?? Who knows.
**Or even if you don’t listen. That’s still chill.
That is right m’dears.
So here’s the news:
Penumbra Reviews is going to be shut down and under construction for about a week (until maybe the 19thish?)
Yes, I know I said I’d follow my posting schedule for once this month but that ain’t happening.
The dealio is I currently have a great plethora of ideas that, unfortunately, need time.
I mean, I could always do what I’m kind of doing now and work on stuff but not actually post but … this is killing me slowly inside. I will have no heart or soul if I continue on this path.
I am, however, doing assorted bookish things that I actually signed up to do so have no fear! I will be back for at least one post on the 20th and one on … somewhere after that. I should probably go check.
I will not, I repeat, will not turn this construction thing into that one weirdo website … MyPets … I think it may have been called.
That was an odd site …
In this time, I shall be (1) Working on pages on here (2) Working on posts and post ideas (3) Working on graphics (4) Possibly improving this theme and overall just … making this better I guess?
Penumbra will still be accessible so you can always come on here … just … let it be known that it is currently under construction and subject to change and it’ll probably be really odd, kk? 😉
Alright. You have been warned.
So stay safe, stay brilliant, have a lovely day, and I will see you on the other side! 😀
laurens leads a soldiers’ chorus on the other side … my son is on the other side … he’s with my mother on the other side … Washington is watching from the other side … teach me how to say goOdbyEeee
Well, surprise, surprise, it’s May! April seemed to have gone extraordinarily fast, did it not? Camp NaNo and NaPoWriMo (which … I did neither so … *shrugs* 😛 ) happened … congrats to all who participated! If you won or not you went for it and that’s an accomplishment in itself. Whether you got 1 word or 100,000 words (anybody actually get 100,000 words? If so … please throw yourself a party. I am in awe of you.) you tried and that’s all that matters. You have more than you have at the beginning of the month, and even if you think it’s trash that needs to be burned (it’s probably not tbh. don’t burn anything, please) you experienced stuff that you wouldn’t have if you hadn’t tried!
Yeah … enough cheesiness. (*falls over* *chokes* *dies* my liiifffee) (though seriously, good job, you peoples). Let’s now move on to the failure of the month! Or … the goals for April. *quiet, sad laughter* (The leader of the bad guys sang// something soft and soaked with pain// [insert additional, skipped lyrics] as the four walls declared … her … insane. *coughs* That just seemed … fitting …)
Ahhh, guys, I don’t know what just happened.
So some of you may have noticed, some of you may have not because honestly I never actually keep a very decent posting schedule but I posted like … once in the month of April so far. I meant to post weekly. That really didn’t happen. I’m not sure what’s happening here. I’m also not sure where this post is gonna go but … I feel the need to explain myself and scream into the abyss so … if any of you would rather not read any of that you’re free to go? If you’re at least mildly interested … be my guest and continue. 😉
‘Ello once again, lovelies! I’m back from vacation! Did y’all miss me?
😉 Nah? I probably need to be gone a bit longer for that to happen …
As y’all can probably tell, it’s April! Did anybody pull any pranks on the first? My sis cut out a ridiculous amount of paper fish which are now hidden all around the house …
Anyway, without further ado let us merge into …
