The Back To School Tag // I Answer A Multitude Of Questions

It’s September ladies and gents, and you know what the means in the US … school.

Yes, I can hear your collective groans over the world-wide web but it really isn’t that bad … right? Right?*

In honor of this … event I’m doing a blog tag that the Amazing Kellyn Roth started. Hopefully this will make me more excited for school? Maybe?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*Wrong tbh but y’know let’s try to keep it positive here …

There are a couple very small blue stripes in my mostly red plaid shirt so I’m assuming that bit counts, and … the rest is up for guessing if I’m a rule breaker or not. 😉

LE QUESTIONS

• When’s your first day of school?

Tomorrow, methinks.

• What do (and don’t) you look forward to about entering the realm of the dead? Uh, I mean the learned?

I am really looking forward to seeing friends more often and doing all the events that don’t run in the summer! I mean, the friend thing might or might happen because I don’t attend public school, but there will be band weekly which I am pumped about and Shakespeare class later and … yep. All good thing, all good thing.

I’m not looking forward to not having as much time to do everything else I want to do. 😉

• Homeschooled, public schooled, or private schooled?

I am homeschooled!

• What grade are you going into? (if you’re okay sharing)

So I don’t know if I’ve ever actually come out and said my age but going to be in 10th grade this year.

• How many more years of torture do you have to endure learn?

Two at high school and then 4 at college, most likely, unless for some bizarre reason I decide to do more college than that.

 

• What are your goals for this school year?

Ehhh … if I’m being honest I haven’t made any specifically for the school year? xD I want to learn loads and actually practice for band once in my puny life, plus I need to read about … maybe around 50-60 books for my reading challenge which will hopefully happen before 2018 and falls within the school year? 😉 Plus, I guess I want to do the hours and become old enough to get my driver’s licence so I can work next summer.

• What’s your favorite season to school in? Fall, winter, or spring?

I like summer for its school-freeness and autumn for its weather.

• How is schooling going to effect your blogging?

I definitely won’t have as much time, though in some aspects I’ll have more because we won’t be leaving on vacation as much. XD I’m not actually sure so … we’ll see when we get there?

• What’s your favorite school subject?

This is going to sound odd but I really like doing math. But only when I actually know the math. I don’t think any of the books I’ve tried have 100% clicked with how the explanations work with my brain but I find it extremely satisfying to figure out a long list of problems, as long as they’re complicated enough to be challenging, but I know the method to solve them. Idk mate, anyone else here like maths?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I also like literature for obvious reasons, though being forced to read a certain book sometimes sucks the fun out of it.

Oh plus, I did logic last year and really enjoyed it.

• Your least favorite?

If I’m being honest I really don’t enjoy traditional art, or English. I don’t really enjoy having to be creative and actually think up decent stuff to make art and then  have people look at it to judge it. Same with creative writing. I do like the rules part of English, but I don’t like having to look at a story and read it 20 times to figure out different parts. I’d rather read it 20 times for enjoyment and observe it on my own, rather than feeling like I’m being judged for what I observe in it, (even though I’m probably not).

• What subject are you best at?

I … don’t actually know, mate. We don’t get like … letter grades and I don’t normally compare the scores I get on tests? xD Plus, I usually stress about tests to the extreme that I usually just do pretty well on everything.

• What subject are you worst at?

I mean, same answer as the last question basically …

• What extra-curricular activities are you planning this year (if any)?

I’m doing 1) band 2) choir 3) a fiber art type thing with both my 4-H group and one my sister and I lead at the local library 4) idk what counts as extra-curricular but I volunteer at the local library every week 5) idek

• How are you preparing for life/college this year (on a conscious level)?

I’m … doing school? xD I’m also saving money because college and life are expensiiivvvee. And I guess trying to figure out what I want to do with my life?

• Do you play any sports in school?

HAHAHAHA. No. I don’t really exercise. Sometimes the homeschool group has sport things though which are always fun partly because my friends are there …

• Is there any way that schooling is going to help your blogging endeavors? Or how has it helped your blogging skillz in the past?

I took a graphic design class at my local high school last year and that may or may not have helped my graphic design? xD Em … I mean learning to read and write probably helped my quite a bit. 😛

• How much time a day is school going to take for you?

Ha … ha … ha … Emm … Not actually sure on this one. It took basically all day last year, but I think having the day broken up to go to highschool classes effected that … I’m not doing any at the local high-school this year so hopefully It’ll take me around 6-8ish hours of the day from around 8:00-4:00??? I really don’t know.

• Are you looking forward to seeing friends more often during the school year?

Yessss. Like I said there’ll be band, literature, and hopefully a lot of other events throughout the school year for us to meet. Summer turned out a disappointment due to everyone being out-of-town at the wrong times so hopefully this will make up for that. 😛

• Are you dreading or looking forward to the event (or did you, if it’s already happened)?

I was possibly going back to do a couple of classes at the local high school (more graphic design and theatre) and whenever I thought about it toward the end of August I started feeling sick. But since I decided to drop those classes (partially because the highschool messed up my schedule and put me in all the required classes that I was going to do there instead of the ones I asked for, and partially because even though we could get that fixed I reeealllly didn’t want to have to deal with the anxiety of not knowing whether or not I would be late on any given day because the communication fails utterly with people who aren’t there all day) I’m not really dreading it? I’m not looking forward to it exactly, but I think it’ll be fine.

• What are you most looking forward to about school?

nothiiiinnnggg Probably band. even though that’s not technically school

By dying? Nah, we’ll see. I don’t have any current plans. 😛

• What are your overall thoughts on school?

It’s good for learning and not that good for getting other stuff done. It’s mostly nice because other events that don’t run during the summer are back on. 😉
